Community work day - May 17 2025

Fellow HOA residents!

Your annual opportunity to contribute to the community and to help keep our HOA fees as low as possible is coming on May 17th at 10am.

If you'd like to help, please meet us at the front of the common area (west side of the big grassy field) nearest to the entrance of Bonita Hills. We'll review what needs to be done and assign work accordingly.

Feel free to bring kids along, everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate in community upkeep.

SUEZ Water files application to purchase Eagle Water Company

On November 23, 2018, SUEZ Water Idaho, Inc. informed homeowners (by mail) of their intent to purchase Eagle Water Company, Inc. The Joint Application filed with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission states:

"SUEZ's obligation to close the asset purchase is conditioned, among other things, upon Commission approval with conditions acceptable to SUEZ, including:
1) approval of the asset purchase and sale;
2) approval of an acquisition adjustment to rate base for the full amount of the purchase price
[$10 million] and acquisition costs to be amortized over forty years;
3) approval of SUEZ's proposed three-year phased-in rate increase for Eagle Water customers to bring them into rate parity with SUEZ's existing customers; and
4) transfer of Eagle Water's service area and customers to SUEZ and amendment of SUEZ's CPCN
[certificate of public convenience and necessity] to incorporate same."

According to the filings with the PUC and the mailing to homeowners, the water rates will change if the purchase is approved by the Commission. With SUEZ, residential customers would see an estimated overall rate increase of 204% and commercial customers would see an estimated overall rate increase of 303%.

Your BHHOA Board is calculating the impact of this news for our projected 2019 through 2021 budgets. We suggest that you do the same for your household budget.

Listed below are links from the PUC website. Also note that you may submit comments directly to the PUC regarding the Joint Application.
